Our church has partnered with a parish of the Anglican Church of Rwanda (L'Eglise Episcopal au Rwanda) in the village of Gahanga which is about 15 kilometers south of Kigali, the capital of the small country of Rwanda in central East Africa. The parish is lead by the Rev. Mathias Rubaduka who is also the principal of the Gahanga Primary School located on the church grounds. The school is responsible for the education of over 1,000 children who live in Gahanga. We have helped the parish install concrete floors and build desks in the classrooms. We have also helped provide school supplies, first aid, Bibles, mosquito nets, and even a water collection system (the first in Gahanga). Gahanga has no running water or electricity, and this is how it is for most of Rwanda.
