Sunday Morning Prayer
During the church service our pastor gives an invitation to you to come
to the alter to give your life to Christ, to join the church, and/or to come for prayer.
At the right side of the alter people pray with an elder or pastor. If you are
struggling with an issue or illness, wish to rededicate your life to Christ,
are seeking God's wisdom or direction, or have decided to surrender to God
as your Lord and Savior, please come to the alter during this invitation.
Blessing During Communion
1 Cor. 10-11 instructs us to take communion thoughtfully, worthily, and with
reverence and respect. We also are instructed to examine ourselves for
unconfessed sins. For those too young or who's hearts are not ready for
communion the pastor's serving communion will give a short blessing. Simply
fold your arms across your chest to signal that you would like a blessing
and not communion.
Service
During the service you will be invited to offer up prayers. This is an
opportunity to pray for anyone God lays on your heart.
Prayer Chain
To place a request on the prayer chain, please fill out one of the cards which can be
found on the back of the chair in front of you in the sanctuary. Mark it confidential if
you want to share it only with the pastor. Otherwise, the requests go out Monday morning
via e-mail to our church members. For emergency requests that can not wait until Sunday
call the church office at 977-6800.
Elder's Meeting and Prayer Time
The elders and pastor's meet regularly to pray. You are invited to come recieve prayer
for any issue or struggle at this time. Please call the church office at 977-6800 to let them
know that you would like to attend.
"Do not worry about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your
requests be made known to God." Phillippians 4:6
